Pumpkin Month - a drawing challenge

It’s already racing towards mid November but I felt it was important to document this.

For October I made a plan to post every day. A pumpkin a day for Pumpkin Month.

Initially I was going to use about 6 pumpkin outlines and change the expression - easy to do and quick. But I soon realised I wanted unique drawings for every day. I was doing an A-Z for naming and it felt like each one needed to be it’s own character.

It was a busy month and there were a couple of days when it was a struggle to draw. I missed a couple of days when life got in the way but I posted two on the next day. I also drew a few pumpkins in a session when I was feeling inspired. I also tried to use a scheduled post for a day when I knew I would be short on time. I failed to schedule somehow and the post went live early. I guess this is something I need to work on!

Anyway, it turns out I LOVED drawing the pumpkins and as the month went by my drawing became easier, quicker and each pumpkin developed their own character. I did stop at 26 and spent the last 5 days of October posting group shots!

Would I do it again? Hell yes! I would batch draw though I think, and learn to schedule!
