The Camel Chaos Crew Causing Chaos!

When I started my digital drawing journey I drew camels. I was living in the UAE and loved their quirkiness. Eventually I put my designs on mugs, and ornaments, and cards and more…Each character had a story based loosely on the observed behaviour around me (not the camels, they were all pretty well behaved!!).

Fast forward to now and I made the stories into a picture book. Then I spent a while uploading it onto KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing). It passed the automated checks and I made an order for author copies. Then I get the email - the images are not mine and I must prove I have the rights to use them or my account will be closed in 5 days. My heart sank. I sent screen shots proving I drew them. Then I get an email back saying no, we found similar on Etsy. Yes, in MY Etsy store! So now I’ve sent evidence that it’s my Etsy store and I’m waiting…

I hope it all works out or I will need to find a different route. Watch this space!

Update it's published! I provided enough evidence that I am the artist. I'm so happy. Once upon a time this roadblock would've stopped me in my tracks. The Camel Chaos Crew are back in business!
